Use Your Gifts and Talents at RLM!

One of the challenges of established churches is that there aren’t but so many opportunities available for new leadership and opportunities for gift development. This reality can leave gifted members, who have the heart to serve in a greater capacity sitting in the pews/chairs and their gifts/talents going unused.

One of the challenges of a church plant is recruiting talented/gifted people who bring with them the right balance of experience/zeal for ministry work. A church plant succeeds or fails because of its leadership and those tasked with carrying the new vision.

This reality can leave gifted members, who have the heart to serve in a greater capacity sitting in the pews/chairs and their gifts/talents going unused.

Relevant Life Ministries is a church of great vision – great visions require great leaders. There are a number of opportunities available for ministers, ministry leaders, and volunteers. You do not need to know everything, but you do need a passion for Christ and His mission for the church, and a willingness to learn.

We encourage you to take the Relevant Life Ministries FIT assessment. Should you be found to be a potential fit for the ministry, we will contact you for the next steps.

10 Reasons NOT To Join a Church Plant

  1. You’re looking for a place to shine. The goal of our church plant is to serve the body, reach the lost, not to call attention to ourselves.
  2. You don’t like your current church. You’ll find reasons not to like this church.
  3. You have a bad track record at churches of being unteachable. Humility with a servant’s heart is a hallmark here.
  4. You’re looking for a nice crowd. We’re looking for people who want to live on mission.
  5. You want religion. We preach the gospel.
  6. You have an agenda. This church plant has its own vision. We’re looking for people who want to share that vision, not supersede it.
  7. You’re a wolf. You won’t last long, the Holy Spirit will reveal you.
  8. You think this will be a nice little church that stays the same size, where everybody knows your name and you have all the pastors’ cell numbers on speed dial. By God’s grace, we will grow.
  9. You think this will be easy and smooth. This will be hard and difficult; this will be a fight, a battle, and a challenging mission.
  10. You want to hold onto your comfortable life. You must lose your life.
